The Ana Patsogolo Activity (APA) is a five-year (2020-2025) USAID and PEPFAR funded intervention that aims to prevent new HIV infections and reducing vulnerability among orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) and adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) in eight districts in southern Malawi.

Since 2021, 1250 Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGY have received vocational training, business skills training and employability opportunities through APA. APA, in partnership with the Malawi Institute of Tourism (MIT), Kamuzu Vocational School, Combon Technical College, St John Paul II Catholic College (Beehive), DAPP Mikolongwe vocational School, Naminjiwa Technical College and Sanwecka Vocational Training College, has further trained 700 AGYW in several trades, including tailoring, agriculture, video production, welding, Motorcycle repairing, cosmetology and carpentry.This Siyakha graduation ceremony marks the end of their 3–4 months of vocational skills training in different fields. It aims to celebrate and acknowledge the achievements of these 700 AGYW.

MIT offered skills in Food Production, Front Office Operations, Food and Beverage Service and House Keeping.
